These 5x7 photographer's proofs date from approximately August 1965.
David Janssen's star was very much on the rise and he needed some general publicity stills not specifically related to the character of Richard Kimble. They were taken in a variety of wardrobe changes from casual, to suited, to black tie. A good number of the shots are the antithesis of a tortured doctor on the run; they show Janssen as a carefree debonair playboy - a persona which aligned with his off-screen reputation. The numbers below the images refer to the original proof number.

The map behind Janssen came from THE FUGITIVE production offices. Pins with small flags containing episode production numbers dotted the map. These indicated where each story was supposed to take place. |
