series details

Considered to be the only stinker of the four series in which Janssen starred. It lasted one season.

"True to executive producer Jack Webb's style, the stories for O'HARA were culled directly from actual cases within Treasury Department files. O'HARA, in fact, was the first and only TV series to be produced with the approval and cooperation of every division in the U.S. Treasury. The authenticity, however, couldn't save the series, which languished in a time slot opposite "The Partridge Family," the number 16-rated series of the season."
- "TV Detective Shows of the 1970's" by David Martindale, David McFarland and Co., 1991

Created by: Jack Webb, James E. Moser
Executive Producer: Jack Webb
Producer: Leonard B. Kaufman
Theme Music: Ray Heindorf

Other recurring cast:
Paul Picerni as Inspector William Clark
Stacy Harris as Ben Hazzard

The PILOT for the series was the 2-hour made-for-television film O'HARA UNITED STATES TREASURY - OPERATION: COBRA which aired 4/2/71.

Two movies seen only in syndication were actually made from recut episodes:
THE COUNTERFEIT GREEN (combined "OPERATION: OFFSET" and "OPERATION: MR. FELIX") and
